Existen varios programas que te ayudan a visualizar la información
de tu receptor GPS en un mapa en tú computadora.
Estos programas nos permiten trasladar tanto los puntos como
los recorridos de nuestro GPS a la Computadora, y sobreponerlo
en un plano del lugar, que previamente lo conseguimos en formato
GIF BMP JPG. En el INEGI existe una variedad impresionante
de cartas de toda la República Mexicana, que las venden
en formato digital a un precio muy accesible.
Nosotros te asesoramos para instalar y configurar tu programa
que van desde versiones gratuitas muy buenas hasta otras de
50 y 80 USD.
Donde tendrás que referenciar primero tu plano para
después poder trasladar los datos de tu GPS a la PC
y así el programa ubica exactamente tanto los recorridos
como los puntos marcados.
También podrás trazar rutas y marcar puntos
con iconos que los representen, en tu computadora y luego
trasladarlos a tu receptor GPS, y así sabrás
en campo cuanta distancia falta para determinado punto y si
estas siguiendo la ruta adecuada o si te saliste y a que distancia
y en que dirección.

Using the "Real-Time Navigation" routine you
can go out with a GPS conected to a portable computer
(Laptop), knowing exactly what's your location upon map

This
program allows to insert BMP, GIF, JPG, WMF and EMF images,
making possible to superpose the traveled route with the
GPS. In the screen on the left side, it was digitalyzed
to GIF format an orthophoto obtained by aerophotogrametric
rising accomplished close to Belo Horizonte city (Brazil).
The navigation upon image is total, the user can move
the image, zoom an image or define in a fast way width
parameters, height and image position. |

In this screen, it was digitalyzed to GIF format an IBGE
map in a 1:50,000 scale, in UTM coordinate system and
inserted in this program. After the map calibration, the
highway BR 262 traveled with GPS (red Tracklog) was shown
in exact way upon map indication. |

The indication of the tracklogs is not monotonous anymore.
Now it's possible to insert not only manyl map images,
but also photos of each interesting point of the traveled
track. Each image is stored with a specific name and with
a comment text that can be seen through " Map Image
Properties " window in " Tools " menu. |

In off-road practice, inside the city, flying or navigating,
you certainly will find the appropriated icons to indicate
Waypoints of your adventure. |
